To purchase insurance, you need to be a Vodafone Pay monthly consumer customer.
Your device must be under 37 months old, fully functional, and undamaged. You need to have purchased it new or refurbished from a manufacturer, network provider, or retailer (high street or online), with a proof of purchase showing the IMEI number.
If you cancel your policy within the first 30 days of purchasing, you don't need to pay any extra fees or charges, and the first month's premium will be refunded. This is the cooling-off period.

Excess fee

Your manufacturer's warranty covers your device for electrical and mechanical faults only. It does not cover issues like cracked screens, liquid damage, accidental damage, loss, or theft. Vodafone Insurance can protect you against these risks, depending on the level of cover you choose.
Screen Damage Insurance
- If a repair through your insurance affects your ability to claim under the manufacturer's warranty in the future, we'll guarantee the repair and cover its cost for the entire warranty period - even if you cancel your policy.

- Your insurance will run alongside your manufacturer's warranty, providing extra protection for risks not covered by the manufacturer.
Yes, your device (brand new or refurbished) must have been purchased directly from a manufacturer, network provider, or retail store (either on the high street or online).
The monthly insurance premium, as well as any excess payable in a claim (or the optional Screen Damage Express Repair Fee if applicable), will be added to your Vodafone bill.
What happens next depends on your level of cover:
Loss, Theft, Damage and Breakdown / Damage and Breakdown
- If your claim is approved, we'll aim to replace your device with a device of the same make, model, and memory size. If that's not possible, you'll be offered a choice of models with an equivalent specification.
Screen Damage
- If your front screen is damaged, and there's additional damage that happened at the same time, we'll repair both.
- Catastrophic, liquid or cosmetic damage is not covered.

Once your claim is approved, you can visit an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for help or repairs at home or abroad.
If you claim through AppleCare Services, you'll benefit from a reduced excess for:- Screen or back glass repair through AppleCare Services - £25
- Screen and back glass repair through AppleCare Services - £50
If your iPhone can't be repaired in-store, you may be offered a replacement if one is available, or it may be sent to you using the Express Replacement Service. The availability of this service depends on your location, the store, and device availability. In these cases, the standard accidental damage or breakdown excess will apply, as shown on your certificate of insurance, within your welcome email or letter.
If you claim directly through the insurer (not via AppleCare Services), the standard accidental damage or breakdown excess will also apply.
You are covered for your iPhone, battery, and included earphones and accessories. The battery is covered for replacement available at no extra cost if retains less than 80% of the original capacity). Back glass repair is not available on iPhone SE and iPhone models released prior to iPhone 12.

During the first 3 months of this policy, replacement devices can only be sent to your Vodafone billing address. After this, delivery to an alternative UK address may be possible.
Screen Damage
- Standard Repair - we aim to repair your device within five working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) from when it's received at the repair centre, subject to parts availability. Once repaired, a courier return will be arranged.
- Optional Express Repair - we aim to repair your device within 24 hours (excluding weekends and UK bank holidays) from when it's received at the repair centre, subject to parts availability. We'll then arrange a priority courier return. This service is subject to availability and costs £50, added to your next Vodafone bill.
You can make up to 3 successful claims within any 12-month period, after 3 successful claims your policy will end.
